In His Hands

In His Hands

I love this picture even though it's blurry.

It's blurry because Amanda just would not stand still.

She was singing and dancing, smiling and praising...

"He's got the itty bitty baby in His hands. He's got the itty bitty baby in His hands. He's got the itty bitty baby in His hands. He's got the whole world in His hands.."

This is the same little girl who was crying uncontrollably the other day, wondering if she could go to the store and buy a baby doll and name it Savannah Rose and give it to me. In fact, I had just posted on my board asking for prayer for her, when I heard her singing in the kitchen and just had to grab my camera. God is so good!

Psalm 42:11

Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

  1. Sometimes the faith of a child, shows us our own lack of faith.

What a precious daughter. You are a wonderful testamony of God's everlasting Kindness. I still hear you rejoicing in His name.

  2. In times such as these "the Joy of the Lord is my strength" spills out of the faithful. It spills from you and your children. Blessing in the midst of such trial. Joy in knowing the great comforter. Strength in sharing what so many need to know. He is. I rejoice with you as the tears fall, knowing He is there . . . and you do, too. May the blessings continue to fall along with the tears. My prayers continue for you.

  3. Heidi,
I thought of you these last few days. Yesterday as my little Thomas, who is nearing three far too soon, awoke from his nap and stumbled into the room grumpily. He and his Daddy clash when he is in these moods, but I have learned that when my boys are in them, that they usually just need comfort. I picked him up on my lap. His tears dried as they trickled down his cheek and I thought how wonderful it was that I could hold him. I thought of all the women I know that have lost children and how they miss these moments with their little ones. This thought reminded me to hold him longer. Till when? Until... I do not understand God's plan all the time. I do know that everything is for His good. We have been trying for 1 1/2 years for a third child. It has not been without much heartache and frustration, but I am learning it is out of my control. All I can do is hold my little boys he has given me and enjoy each and every moment. I am glad to see you are so strong in the Lord. Yes, you still have much heartache, but you are rejoicing over the children he has given you here on this earth and in heaven. May His peace be yours. I pray for you often.
